Information Management and Governance (IMG) specialist, iCognition Pty Ltd has finished a very successful year by being in the Information and Data Manager magazine Top 10 most popular articles for 2020. The article posted in May 2020 was about Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) awarding a multimillion dollar contract to iCognition.
“The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has awarded Canberra-based Information Management and Governance specialist iCognition a new multi-million dollar contract….. The $A2.3 million DFAT deal covers the renewal of software licences for Micro Focus Content Manager, the department’s electronic records management system.” the article states.
Despite the obvious COVID-19 difficulties this year, iCognition consolidated itself as a leader in content management managed services and cloud provision. iCognition now manages a large number of client’s on-premises Micro Focus Content Manager systems, including recently being awarded a managed service contract for a 5000 seat system at Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. Other managed services contracts awarded to iCognition this year includes Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, The Treasury, and Attorney-General’s Department.
These managed services contracts are additional to iCognition completing the transition of some clients to its cloud service EDRMSaaS.Cloud. These include Tasmanian Department of Primary Industry, Parks, Water and the Environment, Perpetual Limited, The Geo Group Australia and Catholic Education Canberra/Goulburn.
All this success has come from the iCognition team’s hard work to design it’s support and cloud provision to meet quality and security standards. The team has made a big effort to align the services to ITIL v4 and become ISO27001 Information Security Management certified. iCognition recently completed it’s second ISO27001 certification audit with the certification auditor concluding “We are recommending certification to ISO 27001 and will now engage our Certification Manager.” iCognition is expecting to receive the ISO27001 certificate in January 2021.
That concludes an excellent year for iCognition, where the company not only survived a difficult year, but thrived. iCognition would like to thank everyone for their support and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
